About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Telemetry **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Every other weekend required; Holidays as needed **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required; General Med/Surg experience preferred **License:** NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** - BLS - AHA - ACLS - AHA - NIHSS Certification **Must-Have:** - Stroke experience - PICC dressing experience - Experience in a telemetry observation unit specializing in TIA, CHF, COPD, AFIB, GI bleeding, syncope, dehydration, dizziness, cellulitis, anemia, electrolyte imbalance **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate an individualized plan of care for patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions. - Manage patient care and document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. - Be highly reliable and available to work all days not pre-disclosed prior to the offer; must not have alternative jobs that interfere with scheduling priorities. - Will be required to float throughout the hospital wherever needed. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
