About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry **Job Specialty:** Telemetry **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years **License:** Active RN License **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Ability to read and interpret EKG strips, Pass basic dysrhythmia exam **Job Description:** - Work in a 14-bed Telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac patients and general overflow. - Interpret EKG strips and work with patients on stable, non-titrating medication such as Cardizem, Amio, and Heparin. - Shift starts at 6:45 with bedside reporting. - Participate in rotations during major holidays; you may be required to work two out of three (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). - Utilize Cerner for charting and documentation. - Participate in facility-wide orientation and floor-specific orientation. - Ensure flexibility as part of a cohesive team; charge nurse rounds with interdisciplinary teams. - Weekend shifts required every other weekend. - Engage in a team environment with support from nurse aides as staffing levels dictate. - Adhere to the dress code with navy scrubs and optional scrub jackets. - Self-scheduling is used, but schedules are balanced by managers and released four weeks in advance. - Make yourself available for extra shifts and schedule trades with other staff members, though block scheduling is generally not available. **Additional Notes:** - Must complete required modules prior to starting the assignment. - Pass a basic dysrhythmia exam within specified time limits to ensure proficiency. - COVID-19 vaccination requirements include medical or religious declinations if applicable.
