**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - General Cardiac - Nights **Job Specialty:** Inpatient Nursing **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night, 6:45 pm - 7:15 am, every other weekend; two major, two minor holidays **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Less than 1 year **License:** RN - Single State or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; customer service skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment; possess excellent time management skills; strong critical thinking and analytical skills. **Job Description:** - Perform the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practices to ensure individualized, high-quality patient care. - Provide patient-centered care that accommodates population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity. - Partner with patients and their significant others through appropriate communication methods, focusing on the patient's goals. - Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care using inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods and timely documentation. - Demonstrate teamwork and fiscal responsibility, promoting recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Support performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice by leading improvement activities and participating in shared governance. - Complete all professional competency assessments and mandatory education for population-specific care. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff, modeling professional nursing practice. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. - Participate in data collection and consult experts to address clinical practice questions. - Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum. - Develop protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and the healthcare team to achieve best practice outcomes. - Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources. - Perform other assigned duties and comply with all health system policies and standards.
