Description: Our client is currently seeking a RN Unit Manager to join their team!
Scope of Role:
Location: Northampton, MA
Hours: 8:30am- 5:00pm
The RN Unit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality resident care, managing staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the long-term care facility.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Nursing Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
- Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and schedule coverage
- Clinical Oversight
- Oversee resident care and ensure quality standards are met
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings
- Conduct resident assessments and develop care plans
- Monitor and ensure proper documentation of resident care
- Administrative Duties
- Manage unit operations and coordinate daily activities
- Maintain accurate resident records and reports
- Ensure proper inventory and supply levels
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Implement and maintain infection control protocols
- Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- 3-5 years of long-term care nursing experience
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
