RN UNIT MANAGER RESONSIBILITES:

The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for total patient care within a specific area in the nursing facility. This includes coordinating the services of all contributing disciplines and administering the nursing component of the care within the espoused nursing philosophy. The incumbent is guided by a comprehensive knowledge of current nursing theory and practice; knowledge of organization and departmental functions; policies, regulations, and procedures of the Nursing facility; knowledge and application of principles of leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

NYS Registered Nurse license required. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience long term/sub-acute care preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

General office equipment, personal computer, Nursing Home computer system. Experience in team based environment desirable. Previous leadership experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills essential. Excellent communication skills essential.
