As a crucial member of the agency's Senior Leadership Group, you will play a key role in overseeing the medical and emotional well-being of pediatric participants in foster care settings. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of care and strict compliance with regulatory standards across various programs.
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $160,000 - $175,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Vice President of Health Services:

Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of care and strict compliance with regulatory standards across various programs.

Responsibilities as the Vice President of Health Services:
- Team Supervision: Provide supervision and oversee the Health Service Team, including the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director.
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversee Article 29-I application and implementation, maintain facilities in compliance with State requirements, and ensure adherence to city, state, and federal regulations, including OMIG standards.
- Quality Assurance: Serve on the Compliance and Incident Risk Management committee, guiding health standards for participants and employees.
- Financial Management: Manage Medicaid budgets in coordination with the Finance Department and administrators. Collaborate with the Medicaid Quality Assurance Department for continuous health and behavioral care review and documentation compliance.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver health-related training for staff and participants, including family life and sex education for youth in care.
- Emergency Response: Be available on call for emergencies and represent the agency at external meetings.
- Trauma-Informed Practices: Implement trauma-informed practices using Sanctuary Model tools and framework. Collaborate with Human Resources, Facilities, and other departments as needed.
- Community and Funder Relations: Maintain connections with funders and health resources like ACS MHCU for optimal service delivery to youth and families.
- Education: Must have a New York State Unrestricted Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Experience: 5+ years in leadership roles within Child Welfare or Foster Care, with clinical pediatric and nursing administrative experience.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, interest in working with underserved youth, and commitment to strength-based, youth development perspectives.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
