GENERAL SUMMARY:
The RNA implements nursing rehabilitation restorative interventions as directed by the therapist, charge nurse, and/or the Director of Nursing.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• The RNA implements nursing rehabilitation restorative interventions as directed by the therapist, charge nurse, and/or the Director of Nursing in the following areas: passive and active range of motion, splint or brace assistance, training and skill practice, bed mobility, transfers, walking, dressing, grooming, eating, swallowing, communication, bowel and bladder retraining and prosthetic/amputee care.
• The RNA implements nursing rehabilitation restorative interventions as directed by the therapist, charge nurse, and/or the Director of Nursing in the following areas: passive and active range of motion, splint or brace assistance, training and skill practice, bed mobility, transfers, walking, dressing, grooming, eating, swallowing, communication, bowel and bladder retraining and prosthetic/amputee care.
• The RNA will accurately document all information pertaining to each resident’s performance in their respective restorative program on the daily flow sheets and in each weekly summary.
• All resident weights, monthly, bi-weekly or weekly will be taken as ordered, documented accurately and all unusual weight recordings will be reported immediately to the appropriate charge nurse.
• The RNA will perform personal care services for the residents, as necessary, within the framework of the individual resident’s activities of daily living and functional abilities.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor

• Successful completion of CNA Competency Program, with current certification in the state of California
• RNA certification preferred, or completed within 90 days of employment
• One year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
• Current CPR certification
