The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, establishing partnerships, and expanding the company's client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to close deals. The role involves understanding market trends, prospecting new clients, and developing strategies to increase market presence in the New York area.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients in the target market to generate new sales leads.
- Develop Client Relationships: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and understanding their evolving needs.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets. Drive end-to-end business development activities from prospecting to closing deals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis, understand market trends, and provide insights to adapt the business strategy.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present business proposals, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with internal teams to meet client expectations.
- Networking & Partnerships: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and foster relationships.
- Reporting & Performance Tracking: Regularly track and report on sales performance metrics, providing forecasts and updates to senior management.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the medtech, biotech or pharma industry.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Location: Must be based in New York or willing to relocate.
- Travel: Travel required for client meetings and industry events.
