Job Title: Outside Sales Representative - Wooden Roof and Floor Trusses
Job Summary: As an Outside Sales Representative specializing in wooden roof and floor trusses, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients within the construction industry. Your primary focus will be on selling our company's range of high-quality wooden roof and floor truss solutions to builders, contractors, architects, and developers. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and projects in the construction industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and developers to understand their needs and requirements.
- Present and promote the company's range of wooden roof and floor truss solutions to potential clients through meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including design, engineering, and production, to ensure that client needs are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management on a regular basis.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand your professional network and promote the company's products and services.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop sales collateral, promotional materials, and campaigns to support sales efforts.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of wooden roof and floor truss systems, construction methods, and building codes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to exceeding sales targets.
