Great Lakes Roofing Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Roofing Superintendent to oversee our roofing projects across the Oakland County area. The Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring that roofing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical roofing knowledge, and excellent communication skills. - On-Site Supervision: Oversee all aspects of roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. Visiting multiple projects per day.
- Team Leadership: Manage and direct roofing crews, ensuring proper training, task delegation, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency on the job site.
- Project Scheduling: Coordinate daily activities, ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are met while managing labor and material resources.
- Quality Control: Monitor the progress of roofing projects, conducting regular inspections to ensure work is completed to the highest standards and in line with Great Lakes Roofing Inc.'s expectations.
- Safety Management: Ensure that all safety regulations and protocols are followed on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during the roofing process, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget.
- Client Interaction: Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Material Management: Oversee the delivery, use, and inventory of roofing materials, ensuring proper handling and storage on job sites.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily reports, including labor hours, material usage, job site conditions, and progress updates.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of roofing and exterior remodeling experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role such as a foreman or superintendent. And a solid understanding of residential construction.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, including shingle, metal, flat roofing, and related materials and techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead crews on multiple job sites, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Safety-Oriented: A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring that all crew members follow proper safety procedures.
- Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver's license is required. OSHA certifications and additional industry certifications are preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects at once, stay organized, and maintain detailed records of project progress.
