The responsibility of the Route Sales Specialist is to support the Sales Center Leader with day-to-day operations. This includes on-going training and development for frontline associates in addition to on-boarding and training for Independent Business Partners.

Route Sales Specialist
The responsibility of the Route Sales Specialist is to support the Sales Center Leader with day-to-day operations. This includes on-going training and development for frontline associates in addition to on-boarding and training for Independent Business Partners.

- Responsible for the development and continuous learning of frontline associates by onboarding and delivering on-going training.
- Responsible for the onboarding and training of Independent Business Partners on order management, hand held computers, and merchandising best practices.
- Assisting the Sales Leadership Team in day-to-day operations and/or issues as needed.
- Assist with the execution of equipment, display inventory, and store reset events.
- Provides coverage for unplanned vacancies in Route Sales Professionals and Loaders/Shippers when necessary.
- Provides coverage for unplanned vacancies in Independent Business Partners when necessary.
- Assists with the execution of procedures and programs to increase productivity, effectiveness, and quality of work.
- As needed, provides oversight of hourly shipping associates, focusing on improvements in fill rate, accuracy, and quality.
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement by engaging and developing associates through training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Works as a team player to achieve the sales center safety goals; provide coaching on safety awareness programs as needed to eliminate unsafe acts and eliminate workplace injuries.
- Performs special projects and assignments as requested by Leadership.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Work location will vary depending on staffing needs
Position Requirements:
What we need from you:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain and retain a DOT medical card.
- Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers.
- 1 year of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.
- At least 6 months experience coaching and influencing others.
- A combination of training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
- Ability to provide a high level of support and solve issues as they arise.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and oral) skills and detail-oriented.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. AS400 experience a plus.
