Compensation: A reasonable estimate for the total compensation for this role is 135k to 160k base plus 20% to 30% performance bonus
Overview
Our client is a long-term holding company investing in the acquisition of swimming pool companies across the United States.
This year, our client has acquired multiple businesses across the United States and have multiple targets in the pipeline as we grow through acquisition.
They take a long-term hold approach in our acquisition strategy and have plans to be the premier full-service pool and spa business in the US.
We are actively recruiting a General Manager to lead and oversee operations at their location in Northwest Indiana and La Quinta, CA.
The person in the role will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the CEO. As General Manager, you will take ownership of the entire financial, operational, and sales performance of the business.
You will work closely with the CEO of our client and the other leaders in the business. You will also have multiple direct reports who are department heads, and your team will grow as the business grows.
This is a role and offers complex challenges for a business professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.
You Will Be Responsible for…
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish the overall business strategy along with the CEO and other leaders across the platform to achieve maximum sustainable profitability.
- Develop and actively guide the leadership team to meet the objectives of the business strategy.
- Oversee the daily operation of sales, operations, facilities, and asset management.
- Possess excellent understanding of current market conditions and changing trends and respond to the market by implementing strategies to meet objectives.
- Recommend and execute hiring, compensation, and other decisions related to conditions of employment in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team in the research, identification, and implementation of new products, programs, and industries for growth opportunities to enhance profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Demonstrate good business acumen and decision-making.
- Assist in problem-solving and resolution of related issues with customers and suppliers.
- Motivate employees and provide support and training for career development.
- Promote a positive work environment based on sound business ethics, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Operate with high integrity and ensure the same standards from subordinates.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

What You Have
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Business Management or related area
- 7-10+ years of experience in business management preferably in a service or construction related industry
- Proven experience as a main leader or executive overseeing P&L responsibilities across multiple divisions
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Operate with high integrity and ensure the same standards from subordinates
- Ability to motivate, train, and develop employees
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on a continuous improvement culture
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to analyze, track, and maintain accountabilities
- Valid State Driver's License
