Description:
Position / Specialty: NICU Respiratory Therapist
The respiratory department performs clinical respiratory modalities for children needing transitional care with complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, abuse, and trauma. Administration of therapeutic gases, aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene procedures, noninvasive monitoring along with noninvasive and invasive ventilator support.
Shift: 3x12 Night
Weekend REQ: Yes – every other weekend
Is on-call REQ? No
Open to accommodating block schedule? TBD by unit’s needs
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No
First-timers accepted: Yes
Years of experience REQ: 2 years
Ratios: Unknown – avg. daily census 29
Certs REQ:
- BLS
- PALS
- CRT
*RRT preferred
Pending License accepted: No - IL license required at time of submission
Locals accepted: Yes – same rate as travelers
RTO Restrictions: RTO must be approved and included in the contract prior to the start date - No RTO may be added after the contract has started.
Guaranteed Hours: Contracted Hours
