LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program. Graduate from an accredited program or similar on the job training in at least one other imaging modality: CT, diagnostic ultrasound, mammography, MRI, DEXA, student coordinator.
Preferred: Continuing education in radiologic technology and all other modalities performed.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification within 6 months of hire. At least one other imaging modality certification. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred: ARRT registered in general radiology and in other imaging modalities. If candidate has an RDMS license, RDMS certification in at least one ultrasound specialty.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: Ability to use specialized radiology and/or diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Five years experience working as a Rad Tech and at least one other imaging modality.
Preferred: Seven years performing radiographic exams, and at least two other imaging modality exams in a hospital environment similar to Cottage Hospital. Previous participation in a leadership role/previous participation in a department/Cottage committee project/lead team in education/training.
