SUMMARY:
A GLWAS Sales and Merchandising Representative is responsible for improving sales performance in an assigned territory where general duties includewriting/transmittingorders, selling new distributions, displays, cold box facings, promotional pricing, and cross merchandising programs. Also included in this position are merchandising functions which include, but are not limited to, packing out all orders, pricing packages, building displays, resetting shelf schematics, resetting cold box schematics, and implementation of the correct shelf and display signage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by Supervisor or Senior Management.
Sales Performance
Will be held accountable to grow total territory revenue versus the prior year and achieve the Company growth objectives set out by Management.
Will be held accountable to achieve monthly objectives on priority brands.
Must perform at or above the Divisional minimum standard for display percentage, share of shelf and share of cold box in assigned accounts.
Generate positive business building relationships with the Management, Co-Manager, Buyer, or person in charge of making the Wine/Beverage buying decisions at assigned accounts.
Must be able to make a persuasive fact based sales presentation.
Maintains good product knowledge on all Great Lakes Wine & Spirits Co. portfolios and takes initiative to improve overallWine/Beverage/Categoryknowledge.
Merchandising and Store Conditions
Understanding and execution of shelf, display, and cold box standards of Great Lakes Wine & Spirits Co. and its Suppliers as well as the standards set forth by the account including, but not limited to, stocking/"pack outs" when directed.
All Great Lakes Wine & Spirits Co. products are clean, rotated, and maintained in saleable condition.
All shelf price tags are correct and in place in a timely manner at the beginning of every month.
All display pricers are correct and placed with the current pricing.
Maintains and places all current POS for Great Lakes Wine & Spirits Co. products.
Territory Management
Correctly runs route according to assigned master route.
Maintains and uses control books, display installation forms, distribution targets, and pre-plans to execute priorities.
Professionalism
Must adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Great Lakes Wine & Spirits Co. handbook.
Must demonstrate a professional demeanor.
Cooperates with all Management and staff and customers of Great Lakes Wine & Spirits Co.
Must dress and groom in a professional manner.
Maintains a safe driving record while keeping Vehicle clean, organized, with adequate P.O.S. and other sales materials.
Uses alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
Follows all MLCC rules and regulations.
