The Role
As a Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service. Your primary responsibility is to support the kitchen and front-of-house teams by efficiently transporting food, beverages, and supplies throughout the venue. You’ll be the vital link between our culinary creations and our guests, ensuring that every dish arrives with impeccable timing and presentation.
- Support Service Operations: Swiftly and efficiently deliver food, beverages, and supplies from the kitchen to various dining areas within the club.
- Maintain Flow: Ensure that all stations are stocked with the necessary tools, utensils, and supplies to maintain seamless service.
- Assist with Setup and Breakdown: Help set up dining areas before service and assist with clearing and resetting tables during and after service.
- Communicate Effectively: Work closely with servers, chefs, and other team members to ensure that orders are delivered promptly and accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure that all items delivered to guests are presented according to our standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas, including the kitchen and dining spaces, clean and organized throughout your shift.
- Guest Interaction: Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to guests when required, always embodying the spirit of hospitality.
- Adapt and Support: Be ready to jump in and assist with various tasks as needed, ensuring that the team functions smoothly and efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a hospitality role is preferred, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are most important.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and carry heavy trays or supplies as needed.
- A cooperative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in similar capacity
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
- Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
- Tips certified and POS knowledge
