- Hours 9am-8pm Mon- Friday, 9am-7pm Sat-Sun.

We are a privately owned facility in El Sobrante, CA. We are growing fast and looking for an RVT. We offer both general practice and same-day urgent care appointments, dentistry and surgery procedures as well as work with several specialist that come in on an as needed basis for Cardiology, Surgery and Internal Medicine.

About Our Facility- Current:
- 2750 sq ft.
- 5 exam rooms.
- 1 Isolation room.
- Separate Dental station with digital dental x-ray.
- Separate Surgery Suite with electrocautery.
- Digital X- Ray.
- Ultrasound.
- Light Filled Treatment room with 3 wet tables, 1 exam tables and 1 lift table.
- Idexx in-house blood machines for CBC,CHEM, UA, clotting times.
- Large stocked pharmacy.
- Neo cloud based software.
- Weave phone lines (all calls recorded).
- Otto- texting services for client communication.
About you:
- At least 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine.
- Prior management experience.
- Ability to lead and help create new protocols as needed.
- Love for both animals and clients and an understanding of the human/ animal bond.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triaging patients and taking their vitals, and acquiring patient history and other information from clients.
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures such as lab work, radiographs, ultrasounds, and echocardiograms.
- Discussing treatment plans and estimates, and payment options with clients.
- Acquire cephalic, saphenous, and jugular blood samples.
- Inserting IV catheters, endotracheal tubes, monitoring anesthesia, ventilators, and fluid therapy.
- Perform dental prophylaxis on canines and felines along with the ability to perform proper diagnostic dental radiographs.
- Operating autoclaves and proper surgical sterilization techniques.
- Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory and submitting specimens to outside laboratories.
- Calculating medication dosages and providing dosage instructions for clients.
- Entering patients' service charges into the computer database and keeping accurate patient records.
- Explaining patient instructions to clients and sharing educational materials.
- Assist in supervising and training other team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Veterinary Technician Certificate Required.
- 1+ Years experience working in a veterinary setting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence and ability to restrain and interact with pets of all sizes.
