RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated health care system in NJ, is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join as part of the full-time faculty with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. There will be duties involving the coverage of RWJUH, teaching OB/GYN medical students and residents, service on the ambulatory practice located in the Clinical Academic Building, and/or Monroe Township and/or Chemed and Chandler Health Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Consultations for high-risk pregnancies
- Diagnostic ultrasound services, interpretations
- Recording and maintaining or causing to be recorded and maintained, appropriate clinical records relating to all Services
- Preparing and attending to all reports, claims, and correspondence necessary relating to Services
- Performing administrative responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by entities that have contracted services from the MFM
Division (i.e.: Axia Women’s Health)
- Providing education and training for Axia's nurses and sonographers in assisting with Services
- Provide assistance in establishing and developing Axia's protocols with respect to obstetric services
- Timely contracting with public and private payors. Timely credentialing with payors of those entities which contracted
services from the MFM Division.
- Devoting such time, attention, and energy necessary for physician to furnish services in a manner consistent with accepted
community standards of care and competence.
- Doing all things reasonable to maintain and improve the physician's competency and professional skills including
maintenance of board certification and state licensure.
CORPORATE COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers’ regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures
specific to their jobs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program
- Board Certified or eligible in the first two years of Board Eligibility
- Primary Source Verification
