Responsibilities:The Safety Compliance Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of health and safety compliance for the area including people and assets. This individual will be responsible for implementing and managing EnLink’s safety process through strong relationships with operations by leading safety training, performing facility inspections/audits, engaging with contractors, as well as reinforcing the company’s Health and Safety standards.
- Provide support to operations, project engineers, corporate and other groups with the goal of achieving safety compliance during all phases of work within EnLink Midstream assets.
- Conduct facility/site audits to identify potential risks and ensure safety compliance with EnLink and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate and participate in EnLink and/or contractor incident investigations, safety reviews and hazard assessments.
- Promote safety awareness through safety meetings, company safety training, and informational material.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of facility emergency response drills per the asset area’s Emergency Action Plans.
- Work with Operations and Engineering/Construction teams on the review and implementation of Management of Changes (MOCs), hazard reviews, and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSRs) related to projects and facility changes.
- Travel required to assets throughout area. Overnight travel may be necessary but should be limited in frequency and in duration.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of direct experience in the safety field in oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar industry with the ability to implement, administer and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and American Petroleum Institute (API) standards.
- Hands-on experience providing health and safety training to employees.
- Must have the ability to achieve results through influencing others and possess flexibility while being both analytical and detail oriented.
