The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will collaborate with various departments to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks, conduct safety training, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Investigate and keep records of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement proper safety techniques for prevention of future incidents and develop corrective actions
- Responsible for SOP's, Audits, Risk Assessments and conduct job hazard analysis
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents, inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving safety performance
Qualifications:
- High School or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related work experience, preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in safety management within general industry, production, manufacturing, or warehouse settings, preferred.
- Either a solid educational foundation or years of experience in safety management; ideally, candidates will have both.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent report writing skills to document incidents, inspections, training sessions, etc.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis investigations
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (10- and 30-hour General Industry) is desired
- Safety certification, such as CSP, ASP, CHST, etc., is a plus.
