The Tempur Sealy manufacturing site in Dallas, TX is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator for our 1st shift. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support and tactical execution in the implementation of Tempur Sealy's Health and Safety programs within a manufacturing site.

Job Duties:
* Serve as designated safety representative for assigned manufacturing site, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Tempur Sealy Safety Program as directed by site leadership and the Regional Safety Manager.
* Influence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all personnel in complying with Tempur Sealy safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment
* Conduct training and coach associates on observed work habits in support of this effort
* Support management's efforts to ensure compliance with corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal and state law. Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly and monthly audits
* Partner and coach leadership on the incident investigation process
* Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly metrics reporting to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems
* Maintain required paperwork to comply with Tempur Sealy standards
* Provide (or facilitate access to) immediate aid for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests that need assistance, or medical attention
* Perform Safety Observations & Audits and specific Safety Training as required by the Regional Safety Manager
* Serve as site COVID leader on implementation of new processes and facilitate all processes
* Serve as site TWI facilitator and Safety Committee Group

Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Experienced in emergency response and be able to maintain current First aid and CPR certificates.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong communication, influence, teamwork, analysis, judgment, customer focus skills and the ability to train groups of associates. Acquire OSHA 30-hour certification.
* Ability and success with analyzing incident data and creating meaningful actions with lasting results.
* Some college or relevant experience preferably in a safety-related field or occupation
* Ability to work independently and is self-driven
* Basic understanding of OSHA regulations, specifically Title 29 CFR 1910.78
* Understanding of Worker's Compensation case management, OSHA recordability guidelines and RTW processes.
* Bi-lingual is preferred but not required
