Safety Coordinator - Charah Solutions Inc.

This position is responsible for the oversight of safety programs on company projects including auditing, training, incident reporting and investigations.

Position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below.  Specific functions may change from time to time.

1. *Develop and implement safety policies and programs that are compliant with OSHA standards.
2. *Develop and oversee safety training company-wide.
3. *Coordinate incident reporting and conduct investigations into allegations of safety violations.
4. *Oversee selected site Safety Specialists. Conduct selected site visits to monitor for safety violations.
5. *Communicate and respond to Site Managers through on site visits, fielding questions, audits and project overview.
6. *Ensure that the company is compliant with OSHA regulations for the construction industry and general industry as well.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or related field required.
2. Five years utility-related construction experience preferred.
3. A familiarity with OSHA 1910 standards and requirements.
4. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
5. Prior experience in the ash management, waste or construction industry.
6. Experience with Microsoft Applications.
7. Honest, dependable, and the ability to be relied upon, responsible, and fulfill obligations.
8. Occasional nights, weekends, holidays, or overtime work.
9. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
