Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Specialist II for our Mechanicsburg, PA or Pittsburgh, PA offices. The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to: + Conducting site visits in vary weather conditions and environments to document site conditions, equipment, and structures. + Preparation of written reports such as: environmental compliance reports, health, and safety determinations, EHS audit reports and environmental permit packages reporting in accordance with federal, state, local and client requirements. + Developing and conducting qualitative and quantitative risk and exposure assessments. + Advising clients on implementing and interpreting regulations as they apply to operations. Conducting research and engaging other subject matter experts as needed. + Corresponding with clients, subcontractors, and applicable regulatory agencies. + Office tasks may include reviewing and interpreting data, preparing reports and work plans, and developing and implementing remedial strategies. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental, Safety, or other Science +2 years of experience or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. + Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required + Position requires travel and can be up to 30%. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Able to efficiently assist on multiple projects with varying timelines. + 5 + years’ experience within the environmental, health or safety field. + Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, ISO). + Experience with, tank systems, Process Safety Management (PSM), EHS auditing, and construction safety is strongly desired. + ASP/GSP/CSP is strongly desired. + An understanding of the following: + OSHA 29 CFR 1904 + OSHA 29 CFR 1910 + OSHA 29 CFR 1926 + Hazard Communication and chemical management + High hazard operations (e.g., Confined space, LOTO, fall protection, and electrical safety) + Principles of industrial hygiene + Hierarchy of controls + Safety management systems + Emergency Preparedness + Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Teams. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Current OHSA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification, current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher, and/or OSHA 30 hour training certificate preferred. **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this position + Sponsorship is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
