What you’ll get to do:
- Assist Safety Manager with safety audits, monitoring plant safety programs, initiatives, and compliance inspections
- Write work hazard analyses
- Develop training plans and audit safety training records
- Review and assist compliance of safety data sheets
- Assist documenting audit findings reports for distribution to operations management, and works with operations to implement controls
- Assist the safety manager with routine aspects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Any other duties as assigned
- Work safely and follow all Federal and State laws and regulations as well as company and site specific policies
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college majoring in asafety program
- Requires proficient knowledge of applicable tools and technologies to be used on the job including Word, Excel.
- High level written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
- Willingness and ability to work indoors or outdoors in a heavy manufacturing setting. May occasionally be required to climb, walk on uneven surfaces, enter confined spaces, stand for long periods and sit for long period.
