Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA (near Atlanta airport)
Duration: 5-6 months
Type: Full-Time Contract
Compensation:
• Hourly Rate: $48-$50/HR
• Per Diem: NO PER DIEM
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
• 40-50 hours per week, with potential weekend work
• Hours may increase as the project progresses
Project Scope:
• Construction of a new pre-engineered metal building
• Installation of compressors and piping systems
• Conduct safety orientations, manage permits, and ensure overall site safety
• Oversee 3-5 different trades on-site, with an initial workforce of 10-30 workers, growing as the project advances
• No predicted shutdowns requiring extended hours
Qualifications:
• Experience: Must be a high-level safety professional with excellent client interaction skills
• Certifications: OSHA certifications and other safety credentials preferred
• Must present well and be available for in-person interviews
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular safety inspections and employee orientations
• Provide daily safety management, including close coordination with clients safety team and other stakeholders
• Manage permits and ensure compliance with all site safety protocols
• Oversee and manage safety documentation and contractor communications
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks aligned with the manager's qualifications
Skills:
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Capable of working independently and within a team environment
• Experience with OSHA outreach training is a plus
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of EHS regulations and construction industry standards
• Ability to effectively communicate and enforce these standards on-site
