Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Canton, Mississippi
Project Type: Contract (1099 Contractor)
Hourly Rate: $50/hour
Per Diem: Not available
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Schedule:
Hours: 40-50 hours per week, depending on project demands
Shifts: Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM; Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (day shift openings are limited)
Overtime: Available as required based on project needs
Scope of Work:
Working with a General Contractor overseeing all trades, including electrical and mechanical contractors, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe work environment for this high-profile data center project. This position requires in-depth knowledge of LOTO protocols, data center experience, and electrical safety expertise.
Key Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of proven experience in safety management within electrical and mechanical contracting environments, with a preference for data center experience
Certifications: OSHA 500 preferred; NFPA 70E knowledge strongly preferred
Requirements: Must have previous experience with electrical/mechanical contractors and data center projects
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site safety inspections to enforce compliance with safety protocols
• Lead orientation and safety training sessions, emphasizing LOTO and electrical safety
• Maintain a safe work environment by monitoring contractor compliance and enforcing safety standards
• Review and manage safety-related documentation, including daily site inspections and incident reports
• Provide guidance and corrective actions to contractors, fostering a strong safety culture
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to uphold the highest safety standards

• Effective communication skills, with experience in delivering safety briefings and training
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced data center environment
• Professionalism in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information
Knowledge Requirements:
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulatory standards, particularly within data center, electrical, and construction contexts
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E standards related to electrical safety
