Overview:
Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and compliant work environment? Connect Housing Blocks is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead all aspects of environmental health, safety, and regulatory compliance. You’ll be responsible for developing safety programs, conducting site inspections, training employees, and fostering a safety-first culture. This is a key role in ensuring our production processes meet all OSHA regulations and that our team is well-trained and equipped to operate in a safe environment.
What You'll Do:
- Safety Leadership: Participate in objective setting, plan development, and performance reviews to drive safety across the company.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and stay updated on federal and state regulations, implementing changes as needed.
- Workplace Safety: Promote a safe work environment by conducting daily job site inspections, developing training programs, and overseeing safety protocols.
- Accident Investigation: Perform accident investigations and prepare reports required by regulatory agencies, identifying corrective actions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain safety records, including accident reports and workers' compensation claims, and track near-miss incidents.
- Training & Development: Conduct safety orientation for new hires and provide ongoing safety training on key topics such as forklift operation, ladder safety, and power tool usage.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and safety drills to ensure preparedness.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 certification for General Industry required. OSHA 501, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are preferred.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train and lead teams on safety protocols.

Physical Demands:
This role requires regular movement on the production floor, including ascending/descending ladders and scaffolding, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. You will also need to operate motorized equipment on occasion.
Work Environment:
The role involves exposure to wet, humid, hot, and cold conditions in the manufacturing environment. Noise levels can vary from moderate to high, and wearing PPE will be required for certain tasks.
