Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and document all required and additional safety training conducted at each Emerald Transformer location.
- Train and develop team members at each facility to assist in the daily maintenance of the Safety Program.
- Assist in the maintenance of the OSHA logs and Accident Reports for each facility.
- Assist in the updating of the New Hire Safety Orientation presentation at each facility.
- Assist in the maintenance of the SDS manuals at each facility.
- Develop, monitor, and document an internal auditing program that includes facility and field operation audits for safety compliance.
- Coordinate as needed with customers and external third-party agencies for required audits and reporting.
- Coordinate as needed with regulatory agencies such as OSHA and DOT for required audits and reporting.
- Communicate with the Director of Safety and Environmental Compliance on all facets of the safety program as directed.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- Hardworking.
- Physical ability to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10lbs of force occasionally.
- Travel: Must be able to travel to different locations throughout the US to facilitate OSHA investigations.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Strongly preferred experience with OSHA regulations and compliance, and workers comp.
- Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with associates at all levels in the company.
- Polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player and communicate openly with all departments and associates.
- Must possess top-level business management and facilitation skills.
- Must become familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
