Safety Manager
Road & Rail Services is a Louisville, Ky. based 3PL company seeking a full time Safety Manager for our Tampa, Florida operations. The Safety Manager will be responsible for helping to create a safe working environment across multiple service lines for our Associates as well as our customers. To create this environment, the Safety manager will report to the General Manager. The Safety Manager will work closely with various Managers and Associates to ensure compliance to all training, procedures and practices in accordance to company, customer and governmental regulatory agencies.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a safety role 3-5 years (preferred)
- OSHA (30 hours) and MSHA training (preferred)
- Experience in Mine Safety helpful
- Bilingual speaking would be a plus
Job Description:
- Direct Safety functions and strategies of Road & Rail Services' health and safety programs across multiple team and service lines.
- Monitor and analyze behavior based compliance audits to drive regulatory compliance
- Perform Knowledge Assessments and OJE ( On the Job Evaluations)
- Assist with incident investigations to determine root cause. Participate in the implementation and follow up with corrective action plans
- Assist in reviewing, updating various Safety programs, policies and training material in accordance with company, customer, local, state and federal guidelines
- Perform routine Hazardous Assessments to determine site -specific safety requirements
- Perform routine data / trend analysis, research, and presentations related to Safety performance
- Lead and assist with Safety Committee meetings
- Perform safety training orientation on-boarding for all new hires.
- Monitor and coordinate and provide safety training for all Associates
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong skills working with Excel and Word

Salary: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
