Job Title: Safety Manager (Summerville, SC)
Location: Summerville, SC
Duration: 3 months
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $47 - $52/hr
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Hours: Monday to Saturday | 10hr shifts | 50 - 60 hours
Project Scope:
New construction at a large data center. The scope is Roofing. Project: Installation of membrane/sheet metal & installations of gutters.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in construction safety management specifically in roofing. Scaffold Training - Fall Protection - Rigging
- Certifications: BCSP (CHST-ASP-CSP) or OSHA 500 with 5+ years of experience.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
