Role Overview:
Job Title: Safety Officer
Location: White, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation:
- Annual Salary: $72,800
- Housing: Company-provided apartments or townhouses
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am - 6 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Some Saturdays required, with a guaranteed 50-hour work week.
Project Scope:
This role is based on-site at a solar panel manufacturing facility construction project, where you will support safety initiatives alongside an experienced lead safety officer. Ideal for early-career professionals, this position provides hands-on field experience in construction safety, focusing on both low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with Sheakley's high standards and industry regulations.
- Act as a field safety technician, focusing on practical, hands-on safety with limited paperwork.
- Collaborate with the lead safety officer to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in safety roles, preferably in construction or electrical settings.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 (required).
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Other Requirements: Comfortable working in outdoor construction environments.
