Job Overview:The Safety and Mission Assurance Manager is responsible for the safety management of all work activities to ensure that all work is completed safely, the work areas are maintained safely for all personnel, and unsafe situations are identified and immediately corrected. The S&MA Manager is also responsible for ensuring that work is performed in accordance with quality standards outlined in the statement of work.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Ensure proactive and innovative safety practices on a continual basis.
- Implement an effective job hazard analysis program to document, control, and communicate hazards identified during the execution of tasks performed under this contract.
- Perform periodic safety and health inspections of all job sites, tasks, and activities related to this contract.
- Document and address all findings from these inspections utilizing a closed loop corrective action process and be available to GRC for review.
- Flow down all GRC safety and health requirements to subcontractors.
- Provide site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) for specified non-recurring activities where unique hazards are identified and require mitigation and/or control not covered under the Corporate HASP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- Bachelor of Science or associate degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field.
- Ten or more (10+) years of Safety & Health experience.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
