Job Overview
As the Safety & Quality Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all safety and quality assurance activities within the facility. This role ensures that all safety protocols are followed, quality standards are met, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. The Safety & Quality Manager will work closely with various levels of the production team to foster a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Organize and conduct safety training programs for team members
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations
Oversee the inspection and testing of products to identify and resolve quality issues
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant quality standards
Work with production teams to implement process improvements that enhance product quality and reduce defects
Address customer complaints and non-conformances by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment
Responsible for all other tasks as assigned
Required Experience
5 years of experience preferred in safety and/or quality management or relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment (emphasis can be on either safety or quality)
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.)
Proven ability to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
