Safety Specialist 

Leading underground utility contractor is looking for a Safety Special to join their team. Most of the job sites monitored will be in Northern Virginia.
 

The safety specialist is responsible for: implementing, managing, and monitoring

safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA, CU, Customer, and AHJ

requirements and other applicable laws and regulations

The duties of the safety specialist include:

• Conducting worksite audits to identify potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance

• Developing and implementing strategies to reduce or eliminate risk

• Promoting safety awareness through training seminars and informational

  materials

• Conduct training classes on various safety topics

• Obtain and maintain appropriate safety credentials

• Staying up to date with regulatory changes and updating Company

  Procedures as needed

• Investigating workplace accidents and complaints

• Assisting with emergency response plans

• Inspecting job sites for safety hazards and risks

• Provide translation for Spanish Speaking employees as needed
