Safety Technician: Night Shift - AZ002 - WGNSTAR

About the Job
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 7PM - 7AM
Pay Rate: $25-$27/hr. DOE
Location: Chandler, AZ
The principal duties and responsibilities will be:
- Safety observations with active correction
- Document findings and working with the team to resolve
- Document and turn in observation sheets to the team Lead
- Giving facility tours to new employees focusing on exit locations, safety showers/ eyewash stations, etc.
- Mapping out locations for future tools
- Adhere to strict facility standard operating procedures with a focus on safety, quality, and effective team communication.
- Work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while wearing a cleanroom suit or other PPE
- Experience working in a safety role
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in an equipment installation or preventative maintenance role
- Ability to read documents and understand safety equipment
- Understanding of EH&S principles & processes
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate as a team to get work done and advance work practices for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
- Experience working in a semiconductor fab/sub fab
- Safety Training / Certifications
May be required to walk up to 5miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
