About the Job
The Sales Account Manager reports to and takes direction from TAFS Sales Manager.
General Responsibilities
Understands the business and types of services available and effectively communicates them to the client in relation to their needs.
Independently evaluates the needs of each customer compared to the company business model and decides whether it is a good fit to continue to pursue the customer as a client.
Creates an individualized, personal style and method for effectively selling services.
Evaluates customer needs, volume, etc. and exercises independent judgment on every client to determine the structure and rates of the factoring agreement.
Uses discretion when determining the structure of agreements to best fit customer needs and grow the business.
Negotiates the structure and rates of factoring agreements.
Identifies and profiles prospective customers and promotes company services by reliably meeting and exceeding minimum advancing requirements.
Presents a professional image when dealing with others inside and outside of the organization.
Initiates conversations with prospective customers and is not hesitant to ask fact-finding questions.
Demonstrates persistence in overcoming obstacles throughout the sales process.
Collects necessary documentation to complete a carrier set up with TAFS and will upload documents into Salesforce.
Communicates directly with the decision makers and asks for customers’ business.
Follows up with contacts as promised and in a timely manner.
Maintains and updates Salesforce with updated information.
Actively refers new ambassador leads to Ambassador and ProDispatch Manager.
Communicates with Ambassador and ProDispatch Manager to discuss dispatch opportunities with a TAFS prospect/client.
Handles contacting and collecting clients interested in TAFS through opportunity skill set built within Salesforce and inContact.
Communicates with Ambassadors to discuss service opportunities by completing corresponding Kiosk forms.
Communicates with Fuel Sales department to discuss fuel opportunities with prospects and clients.
Handles contacting and collecting clients interested in TAFS through opportunity skill set built within Salesforce and inContact.
Embraces training opportunities to stay up-to-date in the industry.
Communicates information to TAFS Sales Manager regarding competition and provides competitor agreements for management to review.
Maintains communication with clients to establish referrals and other revenue building opportunities, but will not provide services to client outside job description. (i.e. will not help with collections or operational items). Responsible for notifying Sales Manager about client issue(s) to ensure the proper department can provide solutions.
Handles termination or renegotiations of their current existing and/or assigned accounts.
Sales minimum expectations:
Establishes a minimum of three (3) newly advanced accounts per month.
inContact Auto-Dialer Responsibilities
Follows inContact policy and remains logged in to auto-dialer system to receive inbound calls and be available for auto-queued outbound calls.
Updates agent status in dialer as directed by management.
Remains logged in to dialer and keeps unavailable time (including wrap-up time) to a minimum.
Dispositions calls appropriately to summarize the outcome of the call and leaves a detailed summary through notes.
Other Responsibilities
Assists in training new TAFS Sales Account Managers on proper selling techniques and strategies, as directed by the TAFS Sales Manager.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
