One of our top clients in the Northern South Dakota is looking to hire a Sales Agronomist to join their highly reputable Ag business.
The Sales Agronomist will take over a well-established book of business within the retail ag sector - servicing growers on their seed, chemical and fertilizer needs.
This company has a very loyal customer base and takes pride in promoting their employees from within.
Sales Agronomist purpose:
To grow and manage sales in assigned territory while also providing leadership and oversight for all territory activities.
Sales Agronomist Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow sales within the territory.
- Meet and exceed performance objectives including unit and margin targets.
- Support current dealers and recruit and develop new dealers.
- Build and maintain relationships with farmers in assigned territory.
- Provide best-in-class service to our customers.
- Stay up to date on products, trends, and technologies.
- Assist with monthly physical inventory count as needed.
- Attend and participate in industry events (trade shows, field days, etc.)
- Travel is required and will vary depending on job responsibilities and territory.
Sales Agronomist Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or related field
- 2+ years minimum prior sales experience
- Good understanding of agriculture production, products, and agronomics
- Team Player
