Applications Engineering Manager
Apex NC (Hybrid)
This position is part of Novanta’s ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Summary
As an Applications Engineering Manager, you'll manage a team of sales applications engineers. Your team will collaborate to create customer-driven products and solutions for our most important customers. You'll educate customers in product capabilities and recommend solutions that best fit for their needs. You'll communicate and demonstrate our value proposition in collaboration with sales teams to win business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Managing and coaching a team of sales applications engineers.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and execute sales strategies and launch products and applications to key customers.
- Ensuring applications meet the needs of customers, anticipating, and resolving technical roadblocks throughout sales process.
- Monitoring team performance and customer feedback and implementing necessary changes to improve processes and outcomes.
- Managing team's workload, schedules, as well as managing team and individual performance.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Possess a B.S. in an engineering or other technical discipline, technical sales experience, and a track record of achieving operational goals.
- Proven ability to manage, develop and lead teams, complex processes, or complex programs.
- Be able to effectively allocate resources while collaborating cross-functionally to achieve results
- Be able to set and manage goals, allocate resources, and make high quality, timely decisions
- Be able to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM
