Position Overview:
As a Sales Assistant specializing in fundraising and merchandise sales, you'll be the friendly face and voice of our organization, providing exceptional service to customers at our fundraisers while promoting and selling our merchandise. You'll play a crucial role in supporting our fundraising efforts by assisting customers with their inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience that inspires support for our cause.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding merchandise that aligns with their interests and supports our charitable initiatives
- Provide product information, answer questions, and offer recommendations to customers to help drive sales and increase awareness of our cause
- Process merchandise orders accurately and efficiently, including accepting payments, packaging items, and arranging for shipping or pickup
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a positive brand image
- Assist in maintaining an organized and visually appealing merchandise display area, restocking inventory, and monitoring merchandise levels
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote merchandise sales through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and promotional events
- Keep abreast of current fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to effectively communicate with customers and drive engagement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards addressing customer needs and concerns
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks to meet customer and client needs
- Passion for making a difference and supporting charitable causes
- Be willing to travel, as this is an on-site, NOT remote position
