About the Job
For over 75 years Cascade Pump Company has been a leader in Low Lift high volume Industrial Water pump Manufacturing. We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team. The Sales Assistant’s responsibilities include the preparation of Parts and Aftermarket sales proposals, as well as a wide range of support functions for the overall Sales Department and other Cascade staff. Under the direction of the Director of Sales, sales and administrative responsibilities include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Parts and Aftermarket Sales Proposals
- Develop and implement follow-up procedures to determine Parts/Aftermarket sales opportunity status
- Build and maintain rapport and positive working relationships with Sales Channel Partners and Customers
- Prepare and submit O&M Manuals to Customer at time of shipment
- Maintain job folders (in-process and close-out)
- Maintain Cascade Pump Installation List
- Manage and File completed and/or removed job folders
- Shipping Clerk
- Confirm readiness for shipment based on Assembly Department provided checklists
- Coordinate shipping with customer requirements
- Schedule shipments
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status
- Scan and File select Manufacturing QA documents including Final Inspection Checklists and Impeller Balancing Records
- Provide suggestions and feedback to Director of Sales based customer feedback, industry trends, opportunities, and competitive market factors
- Monitor and manage Cascade general email account. Review and forward to Cascade colleagues when required.
- Customer Service: Field incoming phone calls to office and delegate to Cascade colleagues when required.

- Strong attention to detail
- Time management and organization skills: Must have high sense of urgency to meet or exceed expectations and achieve daily commitments. Must be able to continuously re-prioritize and manage time as work load may exceed available time based on changing customer demands.
- Ability to field/review inquiries from internal or external customers and effectively respond (Parts/Aftermarket), or delegate to other Cascade staff as required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office™ (Excel®, Word®, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to apply logical or technical principles to a wide range of practical problems
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in application of rotating machinery
- College level education or equivalent experience is required.
