Overview
The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring a smooth sales process. They are responsible for providing administrative and customer support to the sales department, contributing to the overall success of the organization's sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and organization of sales presentations and customer proposals
Manage and respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any customer issues in a professional manner
Support the sales team with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining sales documentation
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services to customers
Conduct market research to identify potential leads and new business opportunities
Assist in the development and maintenance of customer databases and sales reports
Participate in sales meetings and provide input for improving sales strategies and processes
Contribute to the maintenance and updating of product knowledge and sales training materials
Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities and campaigns
Handle and process customer orders and ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
Assist in the organization and coordination of sales events and exhibitions
Provide administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars
Adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with sales-related regulations
Assist in the preparation of sales contracts and agreements
Support the sales team in achieving sales targets and objectives
Manage inventory photos and keep company website up to date
Aide in social media presence
Be able to properly answer phones and take messages
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualification in sales or marketing is a plus
Proven experience in a sales or customer service role
Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
Detail-oriented with good numerical and analytical abilities
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
Familiarity with inventory management and order processing systems
Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools used in the sales process
Understanding of market trends and customer behaviors
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by the sales team
