Responsible for:
This position is responsible for customer service,merchandising and cashier duties in the Resale Boutique. This position will properly open, close and maintain the successful operation of the store. This position is responsible for merchandising, inventory selection and rotation and excellent customer service. This position will also be scheduled to work in the Donation Center.
Description:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Process customer purchase transactions using cash register and cash handling standards.
- Drive sales and increase store productivity; manage and control shrink to an acceptable level.
- Advises Management of any shortages or overages.
- Ensure customers are receiving outstanding service by creating a friendly environment, resolving customer service issues quickly, and maintaining standards.
- Communicate and work with associates, customers, and volunteers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain all merchandising standards, display presentations, and signage standards.
- Actively select inventory for store merchandising to rotate and remove old inventory from sale.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness on a daily basis by following our daily routine for store maintenance.
- Attend required training and meetings as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
Basic Internet browser.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds up to over 2/3 of the time.
