SUMMARY
Performs a variety of retail store clerical functions including display of items, sales, and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Greets customers as they enter the store; offers assistance as needed. Treats the public at all times in a courteous, cheerful and tactful manner.
2. Answers customer questions or inquiries relative to items on display; assists customers with purchases.
3. Participates actively in special sales or promotional initiatives.
4.Keeps displays in proper order; assures that store is kept neat, orderly and well stocked at all times.
5.Operates cash register and/or credit card terminal accurately; finalizes purchases. Balances drawer daily.
6.Provides tax deductible receipt(s) to all donors as needed/requested.
7.Ensures that store is kept neat and orderly; assists with housekeeping duties, such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, etc. Reports any facility maintenance or safety issues to Store Manager promptly.
8.Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the store premises.
9.Performs other essential tasks as requested or required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred, but not required. Prefer at least six (6) months' experience in a retail store environment, however, willingness to learn on-the-job will be considered adequate.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida driver's license with safe driver rating.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with co-workers, management and the general public.
Emotional stability and maturity with a genuine interest in working with program participants and volunteers.
Capable of working posted store hours.
Ability to finalize sales, particularly those tasks related to making cash (change) transactions accurately.
Willingness to comply with in-service, training or other mandates.
