About the Position
We’re looking for driven, energetic and eager-to-learn candidates with 4-5 years’ experience.
The main objective of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to use email, phone calls, social platforms, in-person networking and other sales-and-marketing tools to research and develop qualified opportunities for our sales process. You set up the appointment for someone else to close the deal.
We have a large database of opt-in leads and generate many more monthly. You’ll also source new leads based on fit for our services.
Compensation and KPIs are based on the number of qualified opportunities you bring in.
About You-->
- Motivated. You are self-motivated, confident and good with people.
- Consultative. Exceptional communication skills are a must. Active listening is paramount to the way we do sales. No pitches; this is a very consultative sales process. You’ll be asking a lot of questions to learn about the prospect, uncover pain, fit, etc.
- Digitally-savvy. Technology, SaaS and social media are second-nature to you.
- Organized. You’ve got to be organized, methodical and efficient. You’ll be managing a lot of leads and a lot of follow-ups.
- Passionate. You’ve got to love what you do. We’re not looking for people in sales because they can’t figure out what they want to do. We want people who are passionate about what they do. People who spend their personal time reading up on tactics and sharpening their skills.
- Curious. You’re an excellent conversationalist. You can think on the fly. You have a genuine curiosity about the way things work, how businesses make money, and so on.
- Culture fit. Don’t worry; we’ll let you know.
- Confident. You’re confident. The prospect of talking to business owners and C-level executives doesn’t make you nervous – it excites you.
- Growth-minded. You can absorb information like a sponge. You’ll be learning about our industry lightning-fast and must be able to speak comfortably about it.
- Even-keeled. You have an even temperament. You stay cool under pressure and don’t let rejection get to you. You’re polite and professional no matter how the conversation goes.
- You speak good. No, in all seriousness though - you have good diction, grammar, enunciation, etc.

Responsibilities-->
- Qualify and research leads from our existing database to determine fit
- Identify and research new opportunities
- Use phone calls, email and social media campaigns to prospect
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows and networking events
- Talk to business owners, marketing managers and execs about their business
- Uncover their pain points and educate them
- Use a CRM to manage the whole process
- Goal: Set appointments with quality prospects
Requirements (in addition to everything above)-->
- 4-5 years in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Fluency in English
- Marketing background or some knowledge of the industry is a plus
