A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
In this Sales and Business Development Representative role, you help drive sales for our company's growing product offerings. Your main responsibilities include actively seeking new opportunities and setting appointments for our sales team to present our business Internet, Voice, and Private Data solutions. You will also be regularly contacting property managers in Atlantech's fiber-lit office buildings to uncover opportunities when new tenants are moving in.
You also have a knack for developing solid relationships with property managers, leasing agents, IT managers and decision makers in your target prospects. In addition, you actively network and partner with IT vendors or companies that service clients in commercial office spaces. You schedule meetings with prospective clients and assist our Sales team with delivering detailed proposals. While actively managing your account base, you ensure that our clients are making the best use of all Atlantech's most current service offerings.
Using your excellent communication skills, you maintain contact with property managers and other partners to continually uncover new opportunities. Each day represents a new set of challenges, but that's part of the reason why you enjoy working in Business Development!
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, and social media to set meetings to present all Atlantech products.
Contact property managers and tenants in Atlantech's lit buildings to create awareness of all Atlantech products with the goal of setting meetings and presenting sales proposals.
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
Present the company to potential clients, identify client needs, and suggest appropriate Atlantech products and services.
Regularly attend networking events and engage with industry groups to develop partnerships.
Build long-term relationships with prospective clients for future business opportunities.
Research industry trends, competition, and new markets to develop sales strategies.
Meet and exceed sales objectives and targets.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven work experience in commercial business to business Sales, Business Development, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls, social media, email, and good old-fashioned networking.
Track record of achieving sales quotas.
Experience with Salesforce.
Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Teams, and O365.
Understanding of sales performance metrics.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field is highly preferred.
Experience working in commercial business to business sales or in commercial real estate in the Washington, D.C market is highly desirable.
