Job Title: Sales & Customer Service Support
Position Reports To: Customer Service Supervisor
FLSA Status: Salary $40,000-45,000
- This is a permanent, full-time position that is eligible for enrollment in company benefits after 30 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days
- Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm

Position Summary: The Sales & Customer Service Support role is responsible to manage sample requests and provides Sales & Inventory support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities of the Position:
- Collects customer sample requests by pulling commodity samples
- Packs and ships sample requests by daily deadline
- Orders dry ice and other supplies for samples
- Works collaboratively with the Quality Assurance department by following food safety and General Manufacturing Procedures
- Supports the sales department in the following areas:
- Entering orders
- Communicating with customers about purchase order status, product availability and contract balances
- Communicates repack and resort requests to the Operations Department
- Manages freight requests and works collaboratively with the Warehouse and Shipping and Receiving teams
- Managing open purchase orders
- Sending bill of ladings, certificate of analysis and invoices to customers
- Manage spreadsheets
- Customer Document Requests
- Filing
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent oral and writing skills
- Ability to prioritize and work with tight deadlines
- Demonstrates the ability to be patient and kind when dealing with angry customers
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently
- Demonstrates proficiency in using technology
- Must be able to perform basic math problems
- Good typing skills
Education and Experience
- Required: 1-3 years in customer service or sales
- Preferred: Customer service or sales experience in food manufacturing
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for a normal workday, answer the phone, type on a computer, file papers.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to do physical activity (put samples boxes together, select product from a large container, pack dry ice)
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 35 degrees.
Work Environment:
- Office environment
- 10-20% of time is spent on the warehouse dock gathering samples in low temperatures.
