Position Summary
Ionna is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Development Representative to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Site Acquisition. This key role will focus on driving new business within the growing EV charging ecosystem by identifying and qualifying high-value site hosts for Charging Stations. The ideal candidate will generate leads, source deals, and work closely with cross-functional teams to support the company's go-to-market strategy. The Sales Development Representative will play a critical role in expanding Ionna's presence in the EV charging industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification, outreach, and qualification of a pipeline of high-value site hosts for Charging Stations, including lead generation, deal sourcing, qualification screening, and hand-off to account executives
- Identify, source, and analyze new business development opportunities, gather critical voice of customer and on-the-ground market intelligence to influence overall go-to-market strategy
- Track progress toward meeting quarterly and annual sales goals
- Closely collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations to execute on key business development and partnership opportunities
Preferred Background and Experience:
- At least 2+ years of direct sales experience and/or customer success or business development
- Track record of success working effectively and independently across functions to deliver against deadlines
- Strong business development skills and experience independently leading business discussions
- Demonstrated ability in using data to help make decisions and influence stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills that result in practical and effective solutions, scale mindset (setting short to medium-term direction) and focus on impact
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with limited direction, balance competing priorities, and manage several time-sensitive projects at once
- Previous EV, EV Charging, Community Solar, Site Origination, and Utility business development experience is preferred
