Job Summary
The Sales & Diligence Manager, under the supervision of the Senior Vice President - Strategic Partnerships, is responsible for overseeing the initial sales and diligence efforts of prospective partner programs. During both the sales and diligence processes, the Sales & Diligence Manager works with the prospective partners and the appropriate departments within the bank to perform all necessary tasks to get a partner program ready for implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective partnership programs during the sales and diligence phases.
- Lead sales and diligence efforts of prospective program managers, which may include onsite visits to prospective program managers and critical third parties that are involved in the bank’s program.
- Coordinate with all applicable internal departments and external parties to carry out the sales and diligence efforts related to a prospective program.
- Responsible for evaluating the readiness of a prospective program manager for a bank sponsorship, managing the preparation of the proposal which outlines the bank’s diligence efforts, and presenting that proposal to the various internal stakeholders and committees for approval.
- Ensure that prospective program manager’s business practices, policies and procedures, customer facing legal and marketing material, software systems, customer correspondence, documents, and disclosures comply with federal and state regulations.
- Travel required as needed, up to 35% of time, usually 2-4 consecutive days per trip.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of sales, diligence or banking experience.
- In-depth understanding of the strategic partnerships business line.
- Prior experience leading sales and diligence efforts.
- Direct experience dealing with regulatory bodies preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
- Ability to lead and maintain working relationships among internal and external team members.
- Excellent ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
- Proficient knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and effective writing and communication skills are required
