What You’ll Do
Cisco is seeking a seasoned and experienced Security Sales Director, US Commercial Sales. The Sales Director, will lead, steer and scale Cisco’s Security Sales Team across the Commercial Segment in the US, ensuring that sales facilitating effective coverage and identifying business opportunities, while effectively teaming and collaborating with the wider Cisco businesses in the Americas to improve coverage, execution, and performance at scale. This role consequently represents a unique opportunity to build the Cisco Security business. We are seeking a truly exceptional leader who will thrive in building, leading and managing first-line leaders and their teams across the America’s Commercial customers.
The Security Sales Director will own sales responsibility for selling the entire Cisco security portfolio. This leader will be responsible for building the Security sales plan for achieving a revenue quota target, running the sales forecasting process, and coaching the team of business development and sales professionals to achieve (or, ideally, over-achieve) the target quota.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Achieving growth goals across the Cisco Security portfolio
- Lead and drive exceptional sales execution and operational excellence, and develop initiatives to penetrate the market, achieve sales goals, and leverage sales assets.
- Lead by example, create, and sustain a culture, built on professionalism, collaboration, and creativity.
- Drive market share growth for Cisco Security by driving security deployments in US Commercial accounts, and coverage expansion in a highly leveraged model for New Logos acquisition.
- Develop strategies to promote thought leadership in the market, and maintain positive relationships with key customers and partners.
- Run weekly forecasting processes to provide insight to Cisco’s leadership of sales pipeline status and potential to achieve target bookings, as well as upside and downside risks to achieving target bookings.
- Be operationally excellent in the day-to-day running of the business including forecasting, pipeline development, training, certifications, hiring, performance management, collaboration and partnership.
- Serve as a visionary and cultivate innovation, articulating a compelling, long-term vision and inspiring others to action.
Who You'll Work With
The Security Sales Director will develop relationships and drive partnership and collaboration across Cisco to be successful in the role. This includes the portfolio sales teams, sales engineering, sales ops, sales enablement, channels, marketing, product management, and customer success.

You have a reputation and track record of success as a strong sales leader. You are dynamic in verbal and written communication skills and you inspire and build excitement with the sales team, as well as across the organization and in the marketplace.
- You understand business transformation and are able to articulate and drive it within your teams.
- You know how to drive plans at executive levels of the company and have the ability to influence and matrix manage to accomplish results and understanding of customers.
- Experience with revenue responsibility and sales leadership along with cross functional/general management experience.
- Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing a sales organization and you are able to persuade -- using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, inspiring, and creative way.
Our Minimum Requirements for this role:
- 10+ years of sales or related experience
- 5+ years of management and/or sales leadership experience
Desired Skills:
- Second line leadership experience
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
