Sales Engineers partner closely with the Sales and Channel team to present cloud, web security and new threat technologies to prospects. This is a self-driven, fast paced, agile environment and you will work with some of the best developers in the industry. There is no ceiling and the tremendous opportunity for growth within the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical pre-sales subject matter expertise partnered with sales account executives for customer meetings, webinars and product demos
- Work closely with customers and sales account executives to develop hardware/software network architecture and designs for new installations and upgrades
- Perform remote and on-site product/solution proof-of-concepts, initial configurations, and product training
- Create and manage internal and external product and training documentation
- Attend and present at trade shows and on-site training
Qualifications
- Excellent customer-facing presentation and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the sales lifecycle process
- Ability to simplify complex issues and articulate technical & business solutions to a wide range of customer roles from senior executives (CxOs) to hands-on engineers
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and driven; ability to perform and excel with little supervision
- Excellent collaborator and teammate
- Frequent on-site travel to customer location
- Experience as pre-sales engineer or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience designing and supporting multilayer IP networks; routing and switching
- 5-7 years of experience with network security; firewalls, intrusion prevention, risk assessment, pen testing, content filtering, PKI, SSL/TLS
- 5-7 years of experience managing large (>1k seat) Windows and Mac workstation deployments
- 5-7 years of experience managing Windows Server and Red Hat Linux server environments; Expert level with Linux
- 5-7 years of experience managing DNS; Microsoft and Bind
- Experience in virtualization and specifically VDI implementations
- Experience in acquiring and analyzing packet captures
- Experience managing enterprise deployments of iOS, Android, and Chromebook devices
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science
- MIS graduates are a plus
- Solid understanding of networking, server, and web technologies
- Experience with IT management products and services
- Database query language (SQL) and report development is desirable
- Domain expertise with IT operations, application management and/or security/compliance is desirable
- Experience with network directories is desirable
